Upgrade plan

The Butner Road Culvert at Johnson Creek is being upgraded through the County's Road Fund as part of the Annual Maintenance Plan.

  • The six-foot, round culvert is in poor condition and being replaced as part of routine maintenance.
  • A wooden pedestrian bridge is also being replaced.

Improvements include:

  • Wider, nine-by-five-foot box culvert
  • Longer culvert to accommodate bike lanes and sidewalks
  • Potential improvements for the two-year to the 25-year flood mitigation
  • Improved fish passage
